I am an award-winning multimedia producer, editor and director with more than 15 years of experience in making content across a number of platforms, including TV and the web. I currently work at the BBC as a producer on a multi-platform movies project- and before that as a webcaster for the United Nations in New York.
My speciality is web video and in addition to managing media projects, I can write, shoot, direct, produce and edit video pieces to any specification for virtually any platform.
PERSONAL HISTORY
From 1992 to 2002 I was a freelance documentary filmmaker, working as a producer, editor or writer on programmes for most of the major American TV networks. In 2002, a programme I produced, wrote, directed and edited for the MSNBC news network called "Lockup: The Inmate Diaries" became the recipient of several awards, including the CINE Golden Eagle and an OMNI Gold Medal award.
You can watch highlights on my video player on this site's home page.
From 2002 to 2006 I worked as a webcaster and multimedia producer for United Nations Headquarters in New York. I covered several major international conferences and overhauled the UN's web video operations, combining the video creation skills I had learned in TV, with the potential of new media such as streaming video and Flash application design.
In 2005, I was awarded the presitigious UN 21 Award for
“excellent initiatives to improve the effectiveness of UN programmes and services.”
In early 2006, I relocated from New York to London, where I am currently employed by the BBC as a Producer for BBC Movies. I shoot, direct, write, edit and post-produce videos for the web and red-button interactive TV, as well as come up with ideas for better multiplatform integration.
I also work with the Media Trust, giving seminars on digital video on the web. |
